In Guri of Kamje in Mokër, Skënder Çaçi, participant of the Anti-Fascist National Liberation War, Hero of the People, was killed in the war against the German forces. He was born in Podë of Leskovik, in 1916. He participated in the resistance against fascism from the first days of the occupation. He was interned on Ventotene Island (April 1939 – August 1941). After returning to his homeland, he continued his anti-fascist activity and was imprisoned again. Member of the Albanian Communist Party since its foundation. Took part in courageous actions of guerrilla units in Tirana (1942). He was appointed political commissar of the first detachment of Skrapar (1942) and then political commissar of the partisan battalion of Gorë-Opar (1943). He passed away in 1943.
