On the front of the Ebro River in Spain, Xhemal Kada, anti-fascist activist, Hero of the People, was seriously injured and died. He was born in Pejë, in 1912. In his hometown, he attended several high school classes, but in 1928 he was expelled from school for patriotic activities and came to Albania. He lived for several months in Tirana; then he completed his secondary and higher studies in the military schools of Turin. He was involved in the communist movement. He participated in the Fier Uprising of 1935. In November 1936 he went to France, from where he went to Spain, where he joined the 12th International Brigade. Took part in a series of battles.
