Veli Stafa (Platonicus), poet and prose writer, was born in a patriotic family from Elbasan. Like his brother, Qemal Stafa, he embraced democratic and revolutionary ideas from an early age. In the years 1932-1937, he published in the press of the time, such as in the magazine “Bota e re” (“New world”) of Korça, poems, stories, portraits, etc., which deal with social issues and are permeated by the patriotic spirit. In 1982, the collection of his writings “Vepra Letrare” (“Literary wroks”) was published. He passed away in 1939. (In the photo: Veli Stafa)
