Petraq Xhillari, actor, was born in Tirana. In 1971, he started working at the People’s Theatre. He continued there until 1994, when he established the first private theater in Albania after the 90s, which he called “Cafe-theatre”, but which he could not maintain for a long time due to lack of funding. He played many secondary and episodic roles, portraying interesting characters. His playing was noted for its dynamism and energy, accompanied by an expressive gesture and believable, almost natural demeanor. Petraq Xhillari has also been popular in the cinematography, where he has performed in about 12 roles, such as in the films: “Man with the ball”, “The third”, “The guest”, “The return of the dead army”, etc. He passed away in 2014.
