The Ranza Massacre

Lexo ngjarje:

The “Rance Massacre” was a tragic event involving Serbian military and police forces targeting civilians in the Long Meadow of the village of Greiçevc, in the municipality of Suhareke. During remote shelling of civilian populations sheltered in the mountain area known as Livadi i Gjuta, between the villages of Topilla and Greiçevc, Serbian forces attacked a convoy of fleeing civilians.

The assault resulted in the death of the 11-member Asllani family when a cannonball grenade hit their tractor trailer, killing all family members, including 8 children ranging in age from 6 months to 13 years. Three other individuals in the tractor were injured. On the same day, Serbian forces also executed an elderly person in the village of Rance. The massacre garnered significant international attention, with major world media outlets reporting on the crime and broadcasting harrowing images of the aftermath.
