Astrit Bytyçi, a fighter of the Kosovo Liberation Army, a martyr, was killed in the mountains of Pashtrik (Kosovo). He was born in Ferizaj, in 1975. He studied Albanian language and literature at the Faculty of Philology of the University of Pristina. In April 1998, he joined the ranks of the Kosovo Liberation Army, in the Drenica area. He continued his combat activity in Ferizaj, then joined the soldiers going to Albania for armaments (November 1998). On December 13, 1998, together with many other soldiers, with equipment and weapons and led by commander Mujë Krasniqi, they entered Kosovo from Albania. He was killed when, together with 148 other fighters in the convoy, he was ambushed by Serbian forces in the Pashtrik mountains. (In the photo: Astrit Bytyçi)
