Avni Resuli, actor, passed away. He was born in Durrës, on September 3, 1926. After his activation in the amateur movement in the city of Tirana, in 1948 he started working as an actor in the People’s Theater. His first role was in the drama “Për ata që janë në det” (“For those who are at sea”) (1948). For 40 years, he performed on the stage of this theater over 100 roles, mainly secondary and episodic roles, such as in the plays: “Prefekti“ (“The Prefect”), “Revizori“ (“The Auditor”), “I çuditëshmi“ (“The strange one”), “Tri ditët e kjametit“ (“Three days of doomsday”), “Ngjarje në fabrikë” (“Events at the factory”), “Një nuse për Stasin“ (“A bride for Stasi”), “Gjenerali i ushtrisë së vdekur“ (“The general of the dead army”), “Epoka para gjyqit“ (“The era before the trial”) etc. The special feature of his game was the aim to search and find an additional space in the embodiment of the characters, especially by putting at the service of characterization expressive elements of plastic, expressive gesture, way of speaking, etc. In addition to working as an actor, he also helped as an assistant director in many performances of the People’s Theater, as a director in amateur groups of the capital, as well as with many interpretations in radio dramatizations and theater shows of Radio Tirana, etc. (In the photo: Avni Resuli)
