During the second offensive of the Serbian forces against Jabllanica (Kosovo), Driton Zeneli, a fighter of the Kosovo Liberation Army, a martyr, was killed. He was born in Gjakovë, in 1972. He completed high school for aviation in Rajlovc, near Sarajevo, where he graduated as an aviation technician. Served at the military airfield at Gollubovc, near Podgorica, in Montenegro. He managed to leave the Yugoslav army in 1993, when he returned to Gjakova, where he graduated from the Higher Pedagogical School. He worked as a teacher in the villages of Doblibare and Dol in Gjakova until March 1998, when he joined the ranks of the Kosovo Liberation Army. For several months, he worked in Gllogjan, as an officer in the Operational Headquarters of the Dukagjin Plain. He was entrusted with the task of instructor for training new recruits. He was then appointed commander at the Jabllanica Headquarters. Took part in many battles. In August 1998, he was appointed commander of Brigade 132 “Myrtë Zeneli”. The units commanded by him operated in many villages of Dushkaja, Lugut of Baran and up to Sukë of Cërmjan. He was martyred in 1998. (In the photo: Driton Zeneli)
