Esma Agolli was born in Tirana, an actress and Merited Artist. As a young woman during the Anti-Fascist National Liberation War, she became involved in the theater movement. After graduating from the “Pedagogical School,” she joined the People’s Theater as an actress. Esma Agolli secured a distinguished place in the People’s Theater troupe, being one of its first female actors. In 1964, she completed her studies at the “Jordan Misja” Art School. Esma Agolli was primarily a dramatic actress, though she sometimes ventured into psychological and lyrical roles. She was passionate, possessed a clear voice, and was known for her dynamic and temperamental performance style. She passed away in 2010. (In the photo: Esma Agolli)
