In Vig of Mirdita, Hydajet Lezha, participant of the Anti-Fascist National Liberation War, Hero of the People, was killed in the war with Gjon Marka Gjon’s forces. He was born in Lezhë, in 1921. During his military service, he came into contact with communist ideologies. As a member of the Albanian Communist Youth, he joined the partisan unit operating in the highlands of Lezha, Puka and Mirdita (1944). He helped in mobilizing the population of these provinces in the Anti-Fascist National Liberation War. (In the photo: Hydajet Lezha)
