Melihate Ajeti, actress, was born in Pristina. She completed primary and secondary school in her hometown. Then she completed the acting school, which was opened in 1952 within the Provincial People’s Theater in Pristina. She was one of the first actresses of the Provincial People’s Theater in Pristina. For more than 50 years she created a wide range of over 80 roles in various shows. Played mainly in the main roles. She was honored with various recognitions and prizes from the local and central institutions of the former Yugoslavia, from professional associations, then at various festivals, mainly for the creations and the best female roles in the plays “Zonja me kamelie” (“The lady of the camellias”), “Erveheja“, “Halili dhe Hajrija” (“Halili and Hajrija”). In 1979, at the Film Festival in Nis (Serbia), for her role in the film “Kur pranvera vonohet” (“When spring is delayed”) she was awarded the prize for the best episodic role.
