Ndrekë Luca, theater and cinema actor, People’s Artist, passed away. In 1950, he started working as an actor in the People’s Theater with the role of Shpend Gjeto Plaku in the drama “Halili dhe Hajrija” by Kolë Jakova. He has played a gallery of roles from works of Albanian and foreign literature. Ndrekë Luca has realized over 30 films in cinematography, which stand out for their unique character, such as: Dom Mark (“Komisari i dritës”) (“The Comissar of Light”), Ndrio (“Udha e shkronjave”) (“The way of letters”), Gjini (“Plagë të vjetra”) (“Old wounds”), Pjetër Mustaqekuqi (“Operacioni ‘Zjarri’”) (“The Opration “Fire”), Rami (“Dueli i heshtur”) (“The Silent Duel”) etc. Ndrekë Luca was an actor with a wide range of interpretation, who knew how to adapt to different plans, both comic and tragic, both heroic and ordinary; possessed highly expressive mimicry, accurately used figurative gesture, plastic and other means of visual identification of the character.
