Perlat Rexhepi, participant of the Anti-Fascist National Liberation War, Hero of the People, was born in Vajzë of Vlora. He embraced communist ideas from the desks of the commercial school in Vlora and the technical school in Tirana. He worked as a surveyor in Vlora, then in Shkodër, where he threw himself into revolutionary activity. With the formation of the Albanian Communist Party, he was accepted as a member. As a member of the First Regional Committee of the Albanian Communist Party for Shkodra (1941), he assisted in the establishment and direction of the Party’s technique. He participated in the actions and assassinations of guerrilla units in the city of Shkodra. At the beginning of June 1942, he was wounded in an attempt with the fascists.
