In Përrenjas, Qybra Sokoli, participant of the Anti-Fascist National Liberation War, People’s Heroine, was killed in the war against the German Nazis. Born in Korçë, in 1924. Active participant in anti-fascist demonstrations during 1942-1943, where she was wounded twice. She joined the partisan ranks and with the formation of the XX Assault Brigade (1944), she was appointed as the battalion’s youth secretary. She also worked as a teacher with the partisans of the Brigade. He passed away in 1944. (In the photo: Qybra Sokoli)
