The V Attack Division of the Albanian National Liberation Army was formed. The following were lined up: III Assault Brigade, V Assault Brigade and XXV Assault Brigade. The V Assault Division was aligned with the III Assault Corps. Since November 22, 1944, the units assigned to the formation of Division V had received orders to contact the Headquarters of the Kosovo Forces and the Dukagjin Plain to attack the enemy in Sanxhak. From the end of November and the first days of December 1944, the units and departments of the V Assault Division marched in difficult conditions, from Kosovo to the mountainous province of Sanxhak. During the operations in Kosovo, the effectiveness of the V Assault Division reached 6,500 partisans. The forces of the V Attack Division dealt a blow to the enemy, who was trying to stay at all costs, until they passed the numerous forces of Army Group “E“, which continued to retreat from the south of the Balkans. The bloodiest fighting took place along the Senica-Milosevdol-Priepol and Novi-Varosh-Priepol roads. In these battles, the forces of the V Assault Division, in cooperation with the units of the XXXVII Division of the Yugoslav National Liberation Army, liberated Senica, Gorjegonja, Miloshevdol, Kočevo, Soponica, Novi-Varoš, Priepol, Priboj and chased the enemy with battles all the way to Bosnia and Herzegovina., causing the enemy about 1500 killed, wounded and prisoners. In December 1945 the forces of the V Assault Division returned home. The headquarters of the V Attack Division were led by commander Rrahman Parllaku and commissar Ramiz Alia.
