In the “Kodra e Kuqe” (“Red Hill”) in Tirana, during the war with the Italian fascists, Xhoxhi Martini, participant of the Anti-Fascist National Liberation War, Hero of the People, was killed. He was born in Tirana, in 1921. From a very young age he worked as a potter. He came into contact with communist ideas and became involved in the anti-fascist movement. Member of the Albanian Communist Youth. He participated in demonstrations and combat actions of the capital’s guerilla units. He was killed in Kodra in Tirana. (In the photo: Xhoxhi Martini)
