Born in Shkodër, Zyliha Miloti was an actress and a Distinguished Artist. She graduated from the “Jordan Misja” artistic high school in 1965 as an actress and from 1967 onwards, she became one of the most successful actresses of the Shkodër Professional Stage for nearly 40 years. She played many roles in short humorous performances, including comedies with one and several acts, sketches, dialogues, monologues, parodies, and couplets. She was full of charm on stage, with a commanding acting presence everywhere, and had a full and beautiful voice. She created figures of domineering women, gossipers, or pampered women, as well as snobbish, somewhat naive mountain women or “virtuous” women, officials, and intellectuals of the time. In 2006, she played the role of Gjyl in “A Simple Story” by Edmond Mehilli at the “Migjeni” theater, for which she won the award for “Best Actress” at the 2006 “Apollon” acting festival. She also appeared in several films, notably in “Our Friend Tili” as the mother and in “Measure Twice” as the director’s wife. (In the photo: Zyliha Miloti)
