Fejzi Micolli

Fejzi Micolli (1919-1945), activist of the Anti-Fascist National Liberation War, Hero of the People, was killed at Tamara Bridge, in Malësi e Madhe. He was born in the village of Bolena in Vlora. He took part in the anti-fascist activity in the Vlora district and in the actions of guerrilla units. Member of the Albanian Communist Party at the beginning of 1943, deputy commander of the Detachment “Plakë” of Vlora and then battalion commander in the 1st Assault Brigade (1943). He participated in many battles and in the war for the liberation of Tirana (1944). (In the photo: Fejzi Micolli)
