The Peace Conference opened in Paris. Despite the neutrality declared by the Great Powers themselves, Albania was treated worse than the defeated countries. In the diplomatic negotiations, during her work several projects were drawn up for the fragmentation of the Albanian State and its disappearance from the political map of Europe. Only the Congress of Lushnja and, especially, the War of Vlora, made these plans fail. The Peace Conference was organized by the victorious Great Powers of the First World War. To represent the Albanian nation, in addition to the official delegation of the Government of Durrës, other delegations from Albanian colonies outside the homeland also participated, such as from the Pan-Albanian Federation “Vatra” in Boston, USA, the Albanian Political Party in the USA, the Albanian colonies in Turkey, Romania, Switzerland and other countries. From the Peace Conference in Paris, Albania came out without a final solution to the issue of its status and land borders, but it escaped from the fragmentation platforms of its trunk, discussed in this Conference, thanks to the great support of the United States of America.
