Fiqri Kraja, conductor, was born in Tirana. In the years 1947-1951, he attended the “Jordan Misja” Artistic High School. He worked as a clarinetist in the army band from 1951 to 1953, and later, until 1955, in the Army Ensemble. In the years 1955-1959 he was an oboist in the orchestra of the Opera and Ballet Theatre. In the years 1959-1961 he studied percussion at the Sofia Conservatory (Bulgaria). After stopping his studies, in the years 1962-1965 he studied conducting at the State Conservatory of Tirana, where he graduated in the class of teacher Mustafa Krantja. After completing his studies, he was appointed conductor at the Opera and Ballet Theater until 1980, and from that year, he was conductor at the Higher Institute of Arts until his retirement (1996).
