Lexo ngjarje:

Kujtim Spahivogli, a theater director, educator, and People’s Artist, passed away in Tirana. He was born in Lushnjë in 1932 and attended the “Jordan Misja” Artistic Lyceum. He pursued higher education in directing and graduated from the State Institute of Theatrical Art (GITIS) in Moscow in 1956. He began his career as an actor and director at the People’s Theater and became a lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in 1960. In 1973, he was condemned by the Fourth Plenum of the Central Committee of the Albanian Labor Party and was sent to work as a laborer in the Fier district, later becoming a cultural worker in the villages around Tirana. Among the notable roles he portrayed as an actor were Hamlet (1960) and Selimi in the drama “The Fisherman’s Family” and the film “Twilight on the Coast” (1966). As a director, he leaned towards a conventional language, staging plays like “The Merry Wives of Windsor” (Shakespeare), “The Bath” (Mayakovsky), and “Karnavalet e Korçës” (The Carnivals of Korça) (Spiro Çomora) at the National Theater in Skopje. He created organic symbioses where conventionalism, plasticity, visuality, symbolism, and naturalism merged naturally (productions such as “Much Ado About Nothing,” “The Odd One,” “The Drowning of the Squad,” “The Optimistic Tragedy,” “The House on the Boulevard,” “Event in the Factory,” etc.). He successfully experimented with scenographic elements. Kujtim Spahivogli pioneered the establishment of the Youth Theater at the Academy of Fine Arts, creating opportunities for theatrical alternatives. He wrote the play “Një shok i klasës sonë (A Friend of Our Class), which was hugely successful in the 1970s, as well as poetry, poems, essays, etc. (In the photo: Kujtim Spahivogli)
