Tedi Papavrami, violinist, was born in Tirana. He first studied violin with his father, demonstrating a precocious virtuoso playing. He started his concert activity at the age of 5. In addition to concerts in Albania and Kosovo (1979), in 1982 he played with the symphony orchestra of the Opera and Ballet Theater in Athens, where critics praised him as an “11 -year-old virtuoso”. That year (1982), he began his studies at the Superior Conservatoire of Paris, and from that time, France became his second homeland. After graduating in 1986, he began an intensive artistic career, performing in various venues across Europe, North America, and Asia, with renowned orchestras, conductors, and instrumentalists. Tedi Papavrami performs the entire violin repertoire and is considered one of the few violinists to play all 24 of Paganini’s “Caprices,” as well as the six Sonatas and Partitas by Bach simultaneously. He has recorded CDs with selected violin repertoire. He has won several awards, including: First Prize and Special Prize at the International “Pablo Sarasate” Competition (1993), the “George Enescu” Prize etc. (In the photo: Tedi Papavrami)
