Ilir Konushefci, activist, one of the organizers of the war of the Kosovo Liberation Army in Llap, Hero of Kosovo, was born in the village of Lluge, municipality of Podujeva. In May 1992, he founded the illegal group “Eagles” with a group of friends. In 1993, he joined the National Movement for the Liberation of Kosovo (LKÇK) and distributed the organ of this movement “Liberation”. In June 1996, he came into contact with Zahir Pajazit and from that time he was constantly by his side. On January 31st, 1997, he went underground and then to Albania, where he worked for the supply of weapons to the Kosovo Liberation Army. After the assassination of Zahir Pajaziti, he represented the Operational Area of Llap at the Central Headquarters of the Kosovo Liberation Army. On October 16th, 1997, together with his friends, he organized the attack on the Serbian police station in Kliqina, Peja municipality. He was killed in the line of duty, in 1998, in an ambush, while traveling to the city of Bajram Curri, in Albania.
