The Murgulla Assembly was held, the general assembly of the leaders of the Kachak movement, which aimed to reorganize the war according to the orders of the “National Defense of Kosovo” Committee. The Assembly was held in Murgull (Llapi highlands, Kosovo), with the participation of many leaders of the Kacha liberation movement from all over Kosovo and beyond. Azem Galica, Ferhat Draga, Beqir Rexha and Nak Berisha were present; representatives of Llapi, Sahit Repa, Sahit Shajkovci, Tahir Uka, Hoxhë Pollata, etc. The host was Ramë Sabedini-Murgulla. In the assembly, a decision was made to intensify the war of factions in all occupied Albanian territories from Manastir to Plavë e Guci; to create a general command with Azem Galica at the head; to fight spies; to explain to the people that the nation would be united in a single state by war; to propagate against migration to Turkey, etc. With the assembly’s consent, the squads’ leaders would go to Albania during the winter, for security reasons. After the Murgulla Assembly, similar assemblies were also held in Drenica, Rugova, Karadak (Black Mountain of Skopje) villages and somewhere between Dibra and Kicova. The decisions of the Murgulla Assembly and other subsequent assemblies were sent to all Albanian provinces. (In the photo: View from the village of Murgull.)
