In Hoçisht of Korça, in the war against the Italian invaders, Fuat Babani (1918-1943), participant of the Anti-Fascist National Liberation War, Hero of the People, was killed. He was born in the village of Baban in Devoll. Embraced communist ideas as early as in the benches of the Korça Lyceum. Member of the Albanian Communist Party since its establishment. Commander of the Morava detachment since its creation (1942), he stood out as a brave leader and fighter. (In the photo: Fuat Babani)
