Bombings of NATO

Lexo ngjarje:

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) began bombing the Serbian army and police in Kosova. These bombings lasted 78 days. As a result of these bombings, Slobodan Milosevic, the “Butcher of the Balkans”, as the foreign media called him, announced in Kumanovo the complete capitulation of Serbia. On June 12, 1999, NATO troops entered the liberated territory of Kosova. This war caused hundreds and thousands of people to be killed or missing in Kosova, as well as the mass destruction of villages, houses, and even the destruction of many cultural heritage values, such as the Gjakova Market, the house and the Memorial of the Albanian League of Prizren, etc. The independence of Kosova was declared on February 17, 2008. Today, the Republic of Kosova aspires to become part of the EU and NATO. (In the photo: Tomahawk missile fired from the USS Gonzalez, March 31, 1999)
