Laskarina Bubulina

Lexo ngjarje:

On the island of Hydra (Greece), Laskarina Bubulina was born, known as a courageous Arvanite captain. She acquired the surname “Bubulina” after marrying Dimitrios Buboulis. When the Greek revolution erupted, she was 50 years old, and she became part of the struggle for the freedom of her homeland. Countless battles bear witness to her leadership and bravery. In one of them, her son, Jani, also fell heroically. With her name and courage, she rallied 200 thousand Arvanites against the Ottoman invaders, becoming a symbol of heroism, immortalized in legend, elevating the history of our people. Captains often met tragic fates in battle. However, Bubulina met her death at the hands of an Arvanite (from the Koçi family), as a result of a family feud.
