The newspaper “Albania”

Lexo ngjarje:

The first issue of the newspaper “Albania” (1929-1932, 1933-1940), a political, social, cultural and literary newspaper, organ of Albanians and Arbëresh Italians emigrated in the USA, appeared in New York. The newspaper was published in three languages: Albanian (Arbëresh), English and Italian. It originally promised to appear every two weeks, but after a hiatus in 1932, it appeared once a month and sometimes even less often. It brought interesting information from the Arbëresh people of Calabria and Sicily, from Albania and from the life of the Albanian emigrants in the Balkans, in Europe and in the USA. The newspaper “Albania” came out with the motto: “National Notebook for Unions” and was permeated by the idea of brotherhood and the union of Albanian-Arbëresh emigration to the USA.
