Remzi Kuçi was born in Vlorë, an artist who excelled in painting, sculpture, and illustrating school publications in the second half of the 20th century. He completed his secondary education at the “Jordan Misja” Art High School in Tirana (1956–1961), specializing in painting and ceramics. He was part of the third group of students to complete their studies at the Higher Institute of Arts in Tirana. After completing his higher education, the artist initially worked as a painter at the “Hamit Shijaku” educational materials enterprise in Tirana and later became an illustrator at the publishing house “Libri Shkollor” in Tirana. Kuçi participated in all local and national exhibitions and competitions held until 1990 in Albania. He mainly created landscapes, compositions, and portraits using oil painting techniques. The style and themes of his works were part of the socialist realism method. He remained an academic realist artist, but after 1990, his palette underwent changes reflecting greater artistic freedom.
