Mine Peza (1875–1942), participant of the anti-fascist movement, the first woman martyr of the Anti-fascist National Liberation War in Tirana, the Heroine of the People, was seriously injured and died. She participated in the first demonstration organized in front of the prison doors of Tirana, on September 17, 1942, to oppose the deportation of Albanian anti-fascist prisoners to Italy.
