A professional artistic troupe, the Army Wind Orchestra, was created in the village of Priskë in Tirana. By order of the headquarters of the First Corps of the Albanian National Liberation Army, a group of partisan musicians was gathered and the wind orchestra of this great partisan formation was created. After the liberation, this orchestra was completed with all the necessary elements. At first it was called the National Army Wind Orchestra and later the People’s Army Wind Orchestra, and after 1992 it was called the Army Wind Orchestra. The Army Brass Band was operationally dependent on the General Staff of the Army, while its logistical handling was carried out by the Central House of the Army. (Pictured: Army Brass Band, 1950.)
