In Tirana, Roza Anagnosti was born, an actress of theater and film, Honored Artist. She attended the Artistic High School “Jordan Misja”. She became active early on in the “Migjeni” Theater, playing the role of Nora (1960) in Andrea Skanjeti’s drama “Nora e Kelmendit“ (“Nora of Kelmend”). She made her debut in cinema in the film “Detyrë e posaçme“ (“Special task”) (1963). In leading roles, she played in films such as “Komisari i dritës“ (“The commissioner of light”), “Plagë të vjetra“ (“Old wounds”), “Fije që priten“ (“Threads that are cut”). With the poetic figure of Dafina in the film “Mësonjëtorja“ (“The school”), she won the Cup of the IV Festival of Albanian Artistic Film (1981). Roza Anagnosti has portrayed over 20 characters in cinema and around 80 roles as an actress at the National Theater, such as in the drama “Cuca e Maleve” (“The girl of the mountains”)(1967), in the comedy “Twelfth Night” by Shakespeare (1982), etc. Roza Anagnosti is distinguished for her naturalness, plastic agility, and the energy she displays in embodying characters.
