Ali Bega was born in Tirana, an actor. He began working as an actor at the “A. Moisiu” Theatre in Durrës in 1965, where he continued until 1992. From that year, he was appointed as a lecturer in the subject “Technique of Speech” at the Academy of Arts, a position he held until 1998, the year he emigrated to the United States. From 1995 to 1998, he served as the head of the acting department. He has performed over 100 leading and supporting roles. He stood out early on with the role of Vehip in the drama “The Fisherman’s Family” by S. Pitarka in 1965. Among his interesting performances was Sherafi in the drama “Dorina” by Teodor Laço in 1984, where he operated within the realms of sarcasm, highlighting the pettiness, arrogance, and panic of the corrupt official. In this direction, he evolved year after year, particularly with character roles that carried negative traits. Ali Bega has a clear enunciation, fitting well with the behavior and dialogue developed with others. He prefers ambiguities, subtexts, explorations, and investigations. (In the photo: Ali Bega)
