In the village of Frashër, the capital of the Dangëllia region in Përmet, Abdyl Frashëri was born, an ideator and one of the main leaders of the Albanian League of Prizren, politician, and diplomat.
In Skopje, the first issue of the newspaper "Shkupi" (1911–1912) was published, the only publication in the Albanian language in the Vilayet of Kosovo, as well as the first newspaper in the regions of Kosovo and Macedonia.
