The "Actions for the Liberation of Çorovodë" were carried out as offensive battles against the fascist occupiers by partisan units in the first phase (July 1942–April 1943) of the National Anti-Fascist Liberation War.
In Pristina, Gjon Serreqi, an ideologue and one of the founders of the Albanian National-Democratic Movement (LNDSH), a fighter for liberation and national unity, was executed.
