Esperanca Konomi was born in Tirana, a painter and director of animated films. After completing her studies in painting at the Higher Institute of Arts in the summer of 1980, she was appointed to the former “Shqipëria e Re” Film Studio in the animation sector. After a short experience as a painter and animator, in 1981, she created her first film as a director-painter using drawing technique: “Stop, Offense” (B. Kapexhiu). As a painter, she sought the expressiveness of the portrait silhouette to highlight those aspects of the figure that make it more appealing and functional. (In the photo: Esperanca Konomi)
