Dom Mark Hasi, a Catholic priest, died in the prison of Ballshi. He was born in Shkodër, in 1919. He graduated in theology in Padua, Italy. Arrested in 1946 and sentenced to 7 years in prison. After his release, in 1954, he served in the parish of Shkodra. On April 8, 1967, he was arrested again. He was subjected to a public unmasking trial, along with other clerics, at the Pedagogical Institute in Shkodër. The court sentenced him to death, but the sentence was returned to 25 years in prison. He passed away in Ballsh prison. (In the photo: Mark Hasi)
