Mustafa Shyti, activist, fighter of the Kosovo Liberation Army, martyr, was killed on the war front. He was born in the village of Oshlan in Vushtrri, in 1945. He studied Albanian language and literature at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Pristina. He was a participant in the demonstrations of 1981 and 1988/89. He worked as a teacher in Oshlan (municipality of Vushtrri) from 1972. Due to his political views, he was persecuted by the state bodies of the time. In 1998, he joined the Kosovo Liberation Army in the Shala Operational Zone. Actively participated in the mobilization of volunteers. In 1998, he published the collection of poems “Dallgë jete” (“Life waves”), while after his death the work “Pranverë gjaku“ (“Blood spring”) was published (2001). For his patriotic activity, the institutions of Kosovo awarded him numerous recognitions and decorations. (In the photo: Mustafa Shyti)
