Reshat Arbana, actor, People’s Artist, was born in Tirana. Attended the high institute for actors “Aleksandër Moisiu” (1965) and worked as a director at Radio Tirana (1965-1973); in the years 1974-1992, he was an actor in the People’s Theater and simultaneously became active in cinematography. Reshat Arbana was a dramatic and epic actor, with deep experience, often with solemn and tragic tones. He has brought forward a variety of characters that vary in time and space, in social psychology as well as in temperament. In the theater he performed 23 main roles, the most famous of which are: Selimi in “Familja e peshkatarit“ (“The fisherman’s family”), Pilo Shpiragu in “Lumi i vdekur“ (“The dead river”), President in “Luiza Miler”, etc. In cinematography, he has performed over 35 roles, the most popular of which are: Isa Boletini in “Nëntori i dytë“ (“Second November”), Ahmeti in “Dora e ngrohtë“ (“The warm hand”), the council chairman in “Kur hapen dyert e jetës“ (“When the doors of life open”); engineer Emili in “Rikonstruksioni“ (“Reconstruction”), with which he won the “Aleksandër Moisiu” award; Kola in “Flutura në kabinën time“ (“Butterfly in my cabin”), Adnani in “Hije që mbeten pas“ (“Shadows left behind”) etc. (In the photo: Reshat Arbana)
