On April 22, 1958 , Dom Ndoc Suma, martyr of the Catholic Church, died in Pistull, Shkodër. He was born in Suma, Nënshat (Shkodër). Attended the Albanian Pontifical Seminary until the second year for theology. He spent the last two years in Innsbruck, Austria, near the “Canisianum” Jesuit College. He was ordained a priest in Shkodër, on September 21, 1911. He was a parish priest in Koman, Kçirë, Nënshat, Naraç, Laç of Vau i Dejës, Pistull and Plezhë. He was arrested in Laç, Vau i Dejës and imprisoned in Shkodër on December 8, 1946. He was sentenced on December 16, 1946 to 30 years in prison and forced labor. After becoming seriously ill, he was released on November 25, 1954. (In the photo: Dom Ndoc Suma)
