Fadil Pullumbi, Albanian painter, decorator and watercolorist of the 20th century, passed away in Tirana. He was born in Tirana. In his hometown, he completed the School of Drawing, then continued his higher studies in painting at the Higher Institute of Arts in Rome (1939). In 1940, his watercolors with views of the Albanian landscape and traditional Albanian clothing were published as postcards by the Italian publishing house “Agostini di Novara”. Pullumbi was a realistic painter (watercolorist) who created interesting landscapes mainly in Tirana and other areas of Albania. He continued as a realistic painter of nature, revealing to the public a fresh, expressive palette, full of color, light and often with unexpected bursts of color. (In the photo: Fadil Pullumbi)
