Lena P.

Lena P., an Albanian painter of historical and social scenes of Albanian life in the 20th and 21st centuries, was born in Fier. He graduated from the “Jordan Misja” Art High School and the Academy of Fine Arts in Tirana, specializing in monumental painting (1977). Lena lived and created in the city of Fier, where he initially worked as a specialist at the Cultural Center, a teacher at the “Jakov Xoxa” Art School, and director of the “Vilson Kilica” art gallery (2002–2020). Lena P. is the author of murals in the Archaeological Museum, Apollonia (1985), and the Historical Museum, Lushnjë (1988). The painter Lena has participated in local and national exhibitions in Albania as well as abroad. He is a realist painter, and his paintings preserve the freshness of color and the strong Mediterranean light.  (In the photo: Lena’s work “Snow in Tirana”, 1977, oil on canvas)
