Llazi Sërbo, an actor, passed away. He was born in Korça, in 1945. He finished his higher studies as an actor at the High Institute of Arts in 1969 and immediately after that he was appointed to the “Andon Zako Çajupi” theater in Korçë. In the years 1986-1993, he worked as an assistant director at the “ Shqipëria e Re” film studio. On the stage of the theater of Korça, he played about 30 main and secondary roles. He made striking pictures especially in cinematography. He started with the role of Dalan in the film “Yjet e netëve të gjata“ (“The stars of long nights”) (1972), to then arrive at high-level acting incarnations, especially in the films “Shembja e idhujve“ (“The destruction of idols”) (in the role of the Teacher), “Nusja dhe shtetrrethimi” (“The bride and the state siege”) (German captain Edgard) etc. Llazi Sërbo’s play stands out for the obvious concentration of psychic action, for the depth and self-restraint in living the inner world of the character, for the unflinching eye, for the security and external calmness of the portrait. He has staged several pieces as a director. (In the photo: Llazi Serbo)
