Ofelia Giudicissi, Arbëresh poet, writer, and archeologist passed away. She was born in Pallagario in Calabria, in 1934. She came from a modest family and was the seventh of ten children. In 1964, she published her first literary work, “Pallagorio“, a book of poems, completely inspired by her fellow citizens with whom she was strongly connected. She was also very active in the field of archaeology, especially in the area of the country where she was born, where she also conducted different research for the exact etymology of the city’s name. During the period when she was writing her last book entitled “Momenti di un profilo meridionale” she passed away at the age of 47.
