The “Battle of Dibra” took place between the Albanian army led by Skënderbeu, against the Ottoman troops commanded by Moisi Golemi, who had already betrayed him in the Battle of Berat (1455). It occurred in May, in an open field, near Oronik (Upper Dibër). The Albanian army was able to enclose the entire enemy army in the encirclement ring, leaving many dead on the battlefield.
