Aishe Stari, actress and Merited Artist, was born in Durrës. She completed her higher studies at the Higher Institute of Arts, specializing in drama, from 1960 to 1964. She began her career in the professional Estrada of Durrës, becoming one of the most charming actresses of the troupe, as well as across the country. She performed many roles in various genres of popular theater, including comedy, skits, monologues, dialogues, pantomimes, couplets, and parodies. Her stage presence was marked by charm, freedom of expression, fluidity of movement, imitative strength, grace, and beauty. She had a natural talent for portraying a wide variety of characters from different social backgrounds. For a long time, Aishe Stari was the main performer in the children’s fairy tale radio show, where her exceptional ability to mimic and create a gallery of characters—ranging from the animated world of animals to different professions, ages, genders, and provincial dialects—stood out. In addition to her work on the pop stage, theater, and radio and television shows, she also played small roles in Albanian cinema, such as in the films “Fijet që priten” (Cut Threads) and Dashuri me kristam (Christmas Love), among others.
