The “IV Offensive Division of the Albanian National Liberation Army” was formed. The following were lined up: XV Assault Brigade, XVII Assault Brigade, XVIII Assault Brigade. In the framework of the General training of the Albanian National Liberation Army for the complete liberation of Albania, the units of this division were assigned to operate in Central and Northern Albania. The XV Assault Brigade took on the task of hitting the German convoys on the Tirana-Elbasan-Librazhd-Diber road and liberating Elbasan; The XVII Assault Brigade, being deployed in the Dibër-Peshkopi-Mat area, took on the task of helping in these areas to strengthen the new government; The XVIII Assault Brigade was tasked with cutting the Kukës-Prizren road and liberating the city of Kukës. The units of the IV Assault Division successfully performed these tasks. On December 14, 1944, in the IV Assault Division were lined up: IV Assault Brigade, XI Assault Brigade and XXIV Assault Brigade, which were deployed in the region of Tirana and Durrës.
